On April 2, 2011, we opened the Exppact – Foreign Correspondents’ Club (EFCC) at our office compound in Mae Sot. The EFCC was initiated by ex-political prisoners, exile and resident foreign journalists.
The aim is to provide and share information for and with journalists, photographers, filmmakers and everyone interested in the region, the border area, ex-political prisoners and related issues.
The EFCC is running the Exppact Café/Bar. The Exppact Café/Bar serves as a social and cultural conscious hub. An open space for everyone to meet, to share information, to discuss or just to relax while sitting in our mango garden having a drink and enjoying traditional Burmese snacks. We are open Tuesday – Sunday 2 pm-1am, closed on Mondays.
The Exppact Café/Bar is open Tuesday-Sunday 2 pm-1amDocumentaries and feature films every Wednesday and Sunday, 8 pm.The EFCC offers the following services:
